GET CONNECTED WITH THE NEW SKI CLUB APP
Give a warm welcome to the pioneering new app that’s set to transform the way Members communicate in the mountains
Following the success of the Ski Club’s dedicated resort Facebook groups, and the increasing use of WhatsApp by Members to communicate while in resort, we’re delighted to announce the launch of our very own app.
The Ski Club app is available to all Members who have their own smartphone and is easy to set up and navigate.
Search for and download the ‘Ski Club GB’ app and, after a few simple steps (have your Membership number to hand), you’ll be able to set up your own profile, view the profiles and posts of fellow Members and Ski Club Reps, follow Club news feeds and start chatting with like-minded mountain lovers.
In addition to enabling Members to easily set up group chats, plan social gatherings and share photos and videos, the Ski Club will post handy travel information, questions and competitions within the app. It’s already proving a fantastic way for Members to share, and benefit from, everything from tips on favourite mountain restaurants and runs that are skiing particularly well, to finding outdoor first aid courses available to Members in the UK.
While the primary purpose of the Ski Club app was to facilitate Member communications and meet-ups in resort, the pandemic has, of course, impacted on the ability of most Members to travel out to the mountains. On the plus side, it offers plenty in the way of vicarious skiing and snowboarding, thanks to the videos and photographs of Members fortunate enough to be in the mountains.
Furthermore, we anticipate our Ski Club Reps and Social Reps will find it invaluable in bringing Members back together again in the spring and summer, both in the mountains and here in the UK.
